Family Vacation

We have had a busy summer thus far. June has been loaded with summer travels and fun times. We started off the summer with a trip to Fort Morgan Beach, AL near Gulf Shores. We stayed in a quiet neighborhood in a beach house. We met the Holmes family there and had a great time! We went on a boat ride with friends, the boys went fishing, we played putt-putt, played some dominoes, relaxed at the pool and beach, enjoyed many walks on the beach and saw lots of wildlife, such as dolphins, fish, a large pelican bird, and many sting rays.
The beach near our house was beautiful! Not too many people and the water was so clear the first few days. We decided we really liked the beach further out but it was also a pain to drive 15 miles to the grocery store or to eat at a nice restaurant. Next time we might try to stay in Gulf Shores or Orange Beach and see if we like it better. We really enjoyed our neighborhood out in Fort Morgan. It was quiet and very family friendly.
Ready for the Pool! John Hayden only went to the pool 2 or 3 times. I think he will have more fun at the pool when he can sit up. I can't tell if he really likes it or not. I think he probably feels like he is in a huge bath tub.

Casey was really good at fishing! We ate a lot of fish! YUM! He caught a really big King Mackerel, but sadly, I do not have a picture.

Our little family of three! Can you tell it was windy?
